Bedding-In Guide
Bed your
pads in.
Consistent bite. Better modulation. Less glazing.
Prep
Clean disc (brake cleaner). Check pads slide freely. Avoid bedding on a glazed disc.
Warm-up laps
2–3 easy laps. Light braking only. Bring temperature up gradually.
Firm brake events
6–8 firm brakes from medium speed down to low speed. Don't stop fully.
Short reset between hits
Leave ~10–15 seconds between each brake event to avoid overheating and glazing.
Cool-down laps
2–3 laps with minimal braking. Let the disc cool evenly.
Feel check
Bite should feel smoother and more consistent. If it's still weak or grabby, repeat steps 3–5 once.
Avoid
Holding the brake while stationary after a heavy stop — it can imprint pad material and cause vibration or inconsistent bite.
